My name is billie, (yes, it's my real, legal name) and I'm a girl.
I was born on the same day as my Uncle Billy and that's how I got my name.
I could write a bunch more about my self but I've made this handy dandy chart instead:
Things I am good at | Things I am not so good at |
prose, dialogue | plot, discipline |
eating chocolate chip cookies | the domestic arts |
rocking your face off | practicing |
loving my family dreaming up cool projects | the family/fun/work balance completion of said projects |
I'm trying to figure out how to the best mama and wife I can be.
I also write speculative fiction about whatever "what if?" strikes my fancy. My style is sort of character driven Twilight Zone stories-- think Ray Bradbury meets Jhumpa Lahiri (or so I've been told). My short story "Steven's Boat" was published in Catastrophia in November of 2010.
I'm also a mom to a two year old little girl and a one month old little girl, a wifey to a really incredible guy and, what else? a musician in an alternative rock band, and a member of the illiterati: a writing group that spurs me to actually finish the stories I start.
So that's me.
Who are you?
Billie,
ReplyDeleteYou can get the business cards at Vistaprint almost free - you pay only about $6 shipping.
Just go online and pick a free 250 card package, and fill the info on the design of your choice.
With conference so close you might need to speed the shipping with a couple extra dollars, but that's it - really. Delores
Billie - forgot one detail - when you are done with your order for Vistaprint, let me know the cost - or post it here. Delores
ReplyDeletePS - Isn't the food included with your room at conference?
